I am absolutely infatuated with my Subculture palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Sephora describes it as “An essential eyeshadow collection with fourteen shades featuring grungy mattes and bold metallics with an underground edge.” The palette itself comes in this soft velvety green cover. Once you open it up, you see all of these beautiful shades. The palette has a decent size mirror in it as well and you do get an application brush too.
I feel like I could use this palette for every season, although I think it’s best for the fall season. You have the variety of green shades that work well for the winter and the brown tones for fall. There is also a shade called Edge that is a mustard tone. I think this shade would work well in the spring. Foxy, which is a pinkish shade would be beautiful in the summer. If you like a mix of dark and light tones I think you should give this palette a try. I like to switch up my looks like a lot of girls. It really just depends on how I’m feeling that day. I feel like this palette meshed well with my multiple personalities. Lol. I also like that there are mattes and shimmery color mixtures together. It makes it easy to switch up looks. All the colors are highly pigmented which helps the colors show up better. All the colors are beautiful but like always, I have to give you my list of pros and cons:
- You get 14 shades that include a mix of matte and metallics.
- You can use this pallet year round.
- The price is reasonable at $42.
- The colors are highly pigmented.
- Will work with all skin tones.
- During application, most colors work better when applied with your finger to prevent a mess.
- Shades seem to crumble a lot.
If you would like to give this pallet a try go over to Sephora using the link below. It retails at $42!!
